    I had been taking plaquenil since April for my lupus and sjogrens. It was working really well and just recently my rheumy told that I was in remission. I felt great. Then I had an allergic reaction to the plaquenil - a rash all over my body, neck, arms and legs. I stopped taking it 1 week ago. The researchers suggest that Plaquenil, “ should be considered as a therapeutic option in all patients with SLE and should be administered using established guidelines so that the proper dose is prescribed not exceeding 6.5 mg/kg of ideal body weight and adequate ophthalmological monitoring is performed.” Hi all, I'm living in Belgium, and corona is just starting to get pretty bad here. My sister-in-law, who is a doctor, told me that they are treating corona patients with plaquenil. I'm not saying it protects you all the way, but it seems to be effective enough to be implemented in hospitals here.
